Aliyu’s deputy, two others target Niger gov seat

Three top members of the Peoples Democratic Party have indicated their intention to contest the governorship primaries of the party that will decide the PDP candidate for the 2015 governorship election in Niger State.
State governor Babangida Aliyu said this in Minna on Thursday when he received a delegation of the PDP from Wushishi Local Government Area of the State, who paid him a solidarity visit at Government House.
Aliyu named those who had informed him of their decision to contest the seat 2015 as his deputy, Alhaji Musa Ibeto; the Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Muazu Bawa, and the Chairman of the Wushishi LG, Alhaji Saidu Wushishi.
Aliyu said he told the aspirants to continuously pray for success and that they should not embark on any unorthodox means to realise their dreams.
He said, “Tthree people told me they want to contest the governorship seat in 2015. I told them that if they lose, they should not embark on unorthodox means against any one that wins or themselves.”
